Reference Material
From Prof. Denis Collins, Edgewood College: During the Spring 2006 semester, the 24 students enrolled in my upper-level undergraduate "Social Responsibility in Business" course managed an Eco-Olympics among the five Residence Halls on campus. The purposes of the Eco-Olympics included:
(1) reducing the amount of heat, water and electricity consumed in each Residence Hall over a two-month period
(2) increasing awareness of environmental impacts
(3) teaching project management skills
(4) teaching motivational skills for changing human behavior
(5) teaching team management skills
