Carolyn Cox has over 20 years experience in sustainability. First within local government as a resource management planner then as a Sustainability Manager for the New Zealand Plastics industry. For the past five years Carolyn has been the Environmental Sustainability Manager at Unitec Institute of Technology in Auckland New Zealand. Carolyn is passionate about leading pragmatic solution based environmental business practices and has been having a lot of fun implementing Unitec's One Planet Strategy. Carolyn is currently creating a sustainability capability framework to support the integration of sustainability across all of Unitec's tertiary programmes. Unitec's One Planet goal is that all Unitec graduates become sustainable practitioners or kaitiaki (environmental guardians) - with the explicit skills and knowledge required to support the creation of a sustainable future.
