Dr Melissa Edwards is a senior lecturer at the UTS Business School. She has a passion for embedding sustainability into the university curriculum. She has been involved in various interdisciplinary teaching teams where academics and thinkers from different disciplines explore new teaching techniques. These include: Integrating Business Perspectives, a interdisciplinary business subject with sustainability as the key principle for innovative business design (http://newsroom.uts.edu.au/news/2012/08/wicked-business) and (http://newsroom.uts.edu.au/news/2012/11/tackling-wicked-business-challenges-in-a-carbon-economy); u.lab, a transdiciplinary initiative that is centered around human-led innovation and design thinking; and the Bachelor for Creative Intelligence and Innovation. She is working on the website project www.sustainability.edu.au to establish a sharing community of practice among tertiary sector sustainability educators.
