Benjamin Habib

Bio

Dr. Benjamin Habib is lectures in international relations at La Trobe University. Ben has research interests at the nexus between security-economy-climate nexus in North Korea and Northeast Asia, and teaches undergraduate subjects “International Politics of Climate Change” and “Global Environmental Politics”. Ben undertook his PhD candidature at Flinders University in Adelaide, Australia. He is an Asia Literacy Ambassador for the Asia Education Foundation and has worked previously for Flinders University, the University of South Australia, and the Australian Department of Immigration and Citizenship. He has spent time teaching English in Dandong, China, and has also studied at Keimyung University in Daegu, South Korea. He has been an active member of community groups including Melbourne Free University, Wodonga and Albury Toward Climate Health (WATCH) and Albury-Wodonga Ecoportal, and have worked on projects with a number of other groups in Northeast Victoria and Melbourne.
